This dynamic and practical workshop will equip you with the skills and confidence to use Kinesiology (K-Tape) for a variety of common issues. We'll delve into:
Understanding K-Tape: What it is, how it differs from other tapes, and the evidence (and anecdotal success stories!) behind its widespread use. You'll learn when K-Tape is appropriate, whether for pre-race support or mid-event problem-solving.
The Versatility of K-Tape: Explore its many uses, from supporting soft tissue and aiding blister treatment to even unexpected field repairs! We'll show you why K-Tape is a quick, effective, and incredibly versatile tool that moves with the body and adheres even in harsh conditions.
Expert Application Techniques: Get hands-on with comprehensive taping methods for various soft tissues and body parts. We'll cover common areas like the neck, shoulders, forearms, wrists, hands, torso, pelvis, thighs, knees, lower legs, feet, and ankles. You'll learn crucial details like tension application, removal techniques, and how to manage body hair.
Real-World Scenarios: Put your new skills to the test with practical scenarios and assessments, ensuring you're ready to apply your knowledge confidently in the field.
Your Questions Answered: We'll address common queries, such as how long to keep tape on, what to do if it starts coming off, and potential skin sensitivities.
By the end of this workshop, you'll not only recognise when K-Tape application is appropriate but also master effective methods for different soft tissues, understanding the nuances of pre- and during-race taping. We believe the psychological support and reassurance K-Tape provides can be just as impactful as its physiological effects!
