TrailMed provides doctor-prescribed, environment-tailored prescription pharmacy kits designed to cross international borders and deploy when local healthcare infrastructure is compromised, delayed, or absent.
How It Works
Ordering your travel medical kit is simple, fully regulated, and clinically verified.
Important Clinical Notice:
All prescription-only medicines (POMs) within these kits are supplied on an individual named-patient basis following clinical approval. Please allow 3–5 working days before departure for medical review and dispatch.
-
Choose the travel or expedition kit that aligns with your destination, itinerary, and activity profile.
Complete the required information form at checkout and pay for your order.
Please note that due to UK law, a maximum of two kits can be purchased in a single transaction. Should you require multiple kits or larger quantities of medication, please book an Adventure Trip Consultation.
-
Following your purchase, you will be emailed by the TrailMed team and asked to verify your identity, register with our Telemedicine service, and complete a medication order form.
If you are a repeat customer, then you only need to register with TrailMed Telemedicine and complete the ID check once.
All orders require completion of a medication order form.
-
Our UK-registered expedition medic, who is part of the prescribing clinical team, reviews your medical history, destination risks, and current medications to authorize the prescription.
-
Approved medication kits are assembled, checked, and dispatched directly to your door by our partner UK pharmacy via tracked delivery.
If you have purchased the Nomad Travel Medication Bundle or other TrailMed Adventure products as part of your order, then these will be dispatched separately at no additional delivery cost.

Engineered for autonomous ice-cap crossings, Antarctic traverses, and deep-field operations. The Polar Deep-Field Pack is an advanced, doctor-prescribed medical kit designed for extreme wilderness explorers operating in total isolation. It targets the distinct high-risk pathologies of prolonged sub-zero exposure: circadian disruption under unbroken photoperiods, severe mucosal drying, and critical thermal/chemical stove burns inside enclosed shelter environments.
Key Benefits
Severe Thermal & Chemical Burn Management: High-volume topical antimicrobial coverage specifically for tent-stove flare-ups, pressurised liquid fuel scalds, and contact burns in remote shelters.
Circadian Entrainment Support: Clinical-grade sleep-wake regulation for prolonged 24-hour daylight (midnight sun) or sustained polar night operations.
Cold-Arid Mucosal Barrier Defence: Dual antimicrobial and emollient action against painful nasal fissures, crusting, and recurrent cold-induced epistaxis.
GPhC-Registered Dispensing: Prescribed by UK-registered prescribers and fulfilled by an accredited UK pharmacy.

All medications are supplied in full manufacturer blister packs and secure clinical packaging, labelled by our registered dispensing pharmacy with individual dosing schedules.
Silver Sulfadiazine 1% Cream – Flamazine (250g Tub | Apply 2–3mm Layer Daily or Alternate Days)
Potent topical broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent with high efficacy against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and staphylococci. Essential for preventing infection in partial- and full-thickness burns resulting from pressurised liquid fuel stoves, boiling water spills inside tents, or extreme dry contact burns during deep-field survival scenarios.
⚠️ Clinical Allergy Advisory: Contains a sulfonamide derivative. Screen for severe sulfonamide hypersensitivity or G6PD deficiency before use.
Melatonin 2mg Modified-Release (10 Tablets | 2mg at Bedtime for 5–10 Days as Required)
Modified-release neurohormone formulation designed to synchronise sleep architecture and maintain restorative rest during extreme high-latitude circadian dyssynchrony (continuous 24-hour polar daylight or perpetual darkness).
Naseptin Nasal Cream (15g Tube | Apply to Anterior Nares 2–4 Times Daily)
Dual-action topical formulation containing Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride 0.1% and Neomycin Sulfate 0.5% in an emollient base. Lubricates and restores fragile nasal mucosa damaged by desiccating polar air, preventing debilitating nosebleeds and suppressing secondary bacterial crusting.
⚠️ Clinical Allergy Advisory: Check for neomycin, chlorhexidine, or peanut/soya sensitivities. A sterile paraffin/emollient ointment is substituted if an allergy is declared.

NHS & Polar Deep-Field Guidance
Field Thermal Protection (Anti-Freeze Storage): Keep large emulsion tubs (Silver Sulfadiazine) and nasal creams insulated from extreme sub-zero ambient temperatures. Store active topicals in an insulated thermal pouch or sleeping bag pocket to prevent emulsion breakdown and crystallisation from hard freeze-thaw cycles.
Enclosed Burn Protocols: Stove accidents inside expedition tents are high-morbidity events. Apply Silver Sulfadiazine using sterile technique (or sterile gloved hands) directly over debrided/cleansed burn surfaces to a thickness of 2–3mm, cover with non-adherent dressings, and monitor for systemic shock.
