Dr Patrick Musto
Patrick is a UK anaesthetic consultant and expedition doctor with 30 years of experience in anaesthesia alongside his role as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of TrailMed. He has worked on expeditions and events since 2016, with particular expertise in altitude, ultra events, desert, and African environments. Born in Zimbabwe and educated in Cape Town, he strives to foster the development of wilderness medicine and support remote, humanitarian practice. He is an avid pilot of aircraft and gliders and coaches others as an EASA Flight Instructor when he’s not working at TrailMed! He teaches and leads clinical teams across the globe as well as continuing to support TrailMed staff to develop their careers in remote medicine.

Dr Harrison Banks
Harrison Banks is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and International Medical Lead for TrailMed, where he holds clinical responsibility for the medical provision behind more than forty international expeditions a year. That responsibility begins long before departure, with participant screening, risk assessment, and pre-expedition planning that determines what the team carries, what it can treat, and where it goes if things escalate. It continues in the field, leading teams on the ground and providing remote telemedical top-cover to field medics working at the limits of their resources.
His experience spans five continents and includes clinical lead roles ranging from small-group expeditions at high altitude to large multi-day ultramarathons in remote desert. That background underpins his approach to telemedical support. Harrison brings the diagnostic discipline of a busy emergency department to remote consultations where there are no scans, no bloods and no back-up, and the practical judgement of someone who has spent years making those decisions in the field rather than reading about them.

Dr Fyyon Davies
Ffyon is a UK emergency medicine doctor and expedition doctor with a special interest in pre-hospital emergency medicine and medical education. She has worked as an expedition doctor for 5 years and has been on expeditions to Namibia, Everest Base Camp, the Canadian Yukon, Kilimanjaro, the Azores and across the Atlantic, with particular expertise in altitude, mountain, and marine medicine.
She volunteers as a mountain rescue doctor in the Brecon Beacons in South Wales when she’s not working in the ED! She teaches for several wilderness medicine education companies and continues to work for several expedition companies.

Dr Beth Butcher
Beth is a final-year GP Registrar working in the south side of Glasgow, following several years of training in general medicine and emergency medicine—including a stint in rural New Zealand. She is passionate about the outdoors and supporting adventure in all its forms, whether big or small, at home or away.
After completing the postgraduate Diploma in Mountain Medicine in Nepal, she went on to work at altitude in the Khumbu Valley and on Kilimanjaro. She has also spent months on long-distance cycling tours in Central America and Morocco, treating injuries, heat illness, and infectious diseases in remote settings. She works alongside TrailMed to support adventure events and has particular interests in women’s health and chronic disease management

Direct 1-on-1 Doctor Care
We strictly enforce a policy of individual clinical accountability. Every prescription-only travel pack issued through our Gold package is preceded by a synchronous, private 1-on-1 video consultation with a prescribing doctor. We never issue automated or unvetted prescription packages.
