Occupational health, built around your team

Whether your people run a business, drive lorries, fight fires or work on building sites, we tailor occupational health to the work they actually do. It helps you manage risk, keep an eye on the health of people in demanding roles, cut sickness absence and look after the people your business relies on.

We can test at our clinic in Syston or bring mobile testing to your workplace.

Our clients range from local offices and professional firms to the emergency services, including Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service.

What we offer

Pre-employment screening

A clear picture of a new starter's health before they begin, matched to the demands of the role.

Health surveillance

Ongoing monitoring such as spirometry for staff exposed to dust, fumes or other workplace hazards, to help you meet health monitoring standards.

Staff health checks

Our Balance, Energise and Optimise health checks, offered to your whole team as a wellbeing benefit.

Fitness and VO2max testing

Lab-grade fitness testing for physically demanding roles, or as part of a corporate wellness programme.

Health advice

Practical advice for every employee on their results, so they leave knowing what to work on.

Every programme is built to fit

No two workforces need the same thing. A fire crew needs to know their hearts and lungs can cope with heavy, hot, physical work. A team of drivers needs an eye on blood sugar and blood pressure. An office team may get more from heart health, cholesterol and vitamin levels. So we don't sell a fixed package. We talk to you first, then put together the tests that make sense for your people, the risks in their work and your budget.

We talk

Tell us about your team, the work they do and what you want to get out of it.

We design it

We choose the tests and blood markers, and give you a clear price per person.

Your team is tested

Each person has a one-to-one appointment, with their results explained there and then.

Everyone gets a report

Each employee receives their own report with personal advice, so they know what to work on.

Three starting points

Most programmes start from one of our three health checks. Treat them as a starting point rather than a fixed package: we'd always recommend tailoring the tests to your team, adding what matters for their work and leaving out what doesn't. You'll find everything each one includes on our health checks page.

Balance

From £79 per person

Body composition, blood pressure, a cholesterol blood test and glucose. A quick, affordable baseline for a whole workforce.

Energise

From £199 per person

Adds a 19-marker blood test covering liver, kidneys, iron and vitamins, plus a resting ECG and lung function test. A good fit for annual staff screening.

Optimise

From £499 per person

Adds an advanced blood panel and an exercise stress test with VO2max. Built for physically demanding roles such as the emergency services.

Extra blood tests for the workplace

On top of the markers in our health checks, we can add tests that matter for particular roles. All blood samples are analysed by Medichecks, and every result is explained to the person it belongs to.

Immunity

Hepatitis B immunity, plus measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox immunity, for staff who could be exposed through first aid, healthcare or emergency work.

Lead exposure

Blood lead levels for people who work with lead, for example in construction, demolition or metalwork.

Blood sugar

HbA1c, the long-term measure of blood sugar. Useful for drivers, shift workers and anyone with a family history of diabetes.

Energy and fatigue

Thyroid function, full iron studies, active B12, folate and vitamin D, for teams working nights or long shifts.

Heart risk

Lipoprotein(a), an inherited cholesterol marker that a standard cholesterol test doesn't pick up.

Life stages

A menopause hormone profile, and PSA prostate testing on request, to support staff at different stages of life.

Who we work with

We work with employers across Leicestershire and the East Midlands, from small teams and professional firms to the emergency services. That includes extensive occupational health work with Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, where fitness and heart health are part of the job, and annual screening for businesses like Optimum Path Financial Planning, who bring their team back to us year after year.

"Our team really value this and see it as quite a unique benefit, with around 80% taking it up each year."
"The biggest value for us is being able to track results year on year, which helps spot any trends or changes in health over time."
"It is completely judgement free, nobody is ever made to feel silly or rushed. Everything is explained in detail, you are made to feel comfortable, and there is always time to ask questions."

Questions employers ask

Where does the testing take place?

Either at our clinic at Fosse House in Syston, or at your workplace with our mobile testing. Some tests, such as exercise testing, need our lab equipment, so we'll plan the best mix with you.

Who sees the results?

Every employee gets their own personalised report. If you'd like a wider view, we can also build a full team report on request.

Can we repeat it every year?

Yes. Many employers run the programme annually, so staff can track their results over time and see what's changed.

What does it cost?

Our health checks start from £79 per person, but we'd always encourage you to tailor the programme to your team rather than pick one off the shelf. Tell us what your people do and we'll put together a programme and a clear quote.

Tell us about your team

Fill in the form below with roughly how many people you have and the kind of work they do, and we'll come back with ideas and a price. Prefer to talk it through? Give us a call.
